Billing Policy

We offer a billing policy where you only pay for the amount of active users instead of a fixed amount of licenses.

Tiers

Your first choice when purchasing Mainter is to select a tier for your workspace. Mainter is offered in two different packages, Basic and Pro.

Users

There are two different types of users to be added to Mainter, a paid user (Which is paid by a monthly subscription), and a free user (With limited permissions)

Adding new users to Mainter

When a paid user is added in the middle of a billing cycle, we will only charge you for the time remaining. This will automatically be tracked and outstanding balances will be charged at the beginning of next month (If paid monthly).

Here is how it works

Suppose your team is on the PRO tier and paying monthly. Each paid user costs 699 SEK per month. If you add a new user 10 days into the month, you will only be charged for the remaining 20 days.

This is calculated by dividing the total cost for the month (699 SEK) by the number of days in the month (30), multiplying that by the days remaining (20). This gives us a total of 466 SEK for the remainder of the billing period.

If you are paying annually, we will calculate the cost for the remainder of the year, and charge you each calendar quarter for any outstanding balances. 

Removing users from Mainter

When a paid user is removed in the middle of a billing cycle, you will credited for the time remaining. These credits will then be applied on your next bill. This is further explained in the section about Credits

Upgrade / Downgrade tier

When a tier is upgraded, we will calculate the cost difference between the tiers and charge you for the remaining time of the billing period.

Here is how it works

Suppose your team is on the BASIC tier with 6 paid users, and want to upgrade to PRO. The monthly cost is 299 SEK per user for BASIC, and 699 SEK per user for PRO. That makes a monthly difference of 400 SEK per user.

If you upgrade your tier 10 days into the month, you will only be charged for the remaining 20 days.

This is calculated by multiplying the difference per user (400 SEK) with the amount of paid users (6), divided by the number of days in the month (30), and multiplying that with the days remaining (20). This gives us a total of 1 600 SEK for the remainder of the billing period.

This will be charged in the beginning of next month (If paid monthly), or the beginning of next calendar quarter (If paid annually).

If downgraded to a cheaper tier, the same amount calculated above will be added to your credits.

You can, without charge, request to upgrade your tier during a trial period of 30 days.

Credits

Credits obtained by either removing a paid user, or downgrading tier, will be applied on your next invoice. If your amount of credits exceeds the total of the invoice, nothing will be charged and the invoice total will be subtracted from your credits.

These credits have no currency of exchange value, are non-transferable and non-refundable, and will expire following the expiration or termination of your paid services plan with Mainter
